Ming, commonly known as Suzie Wong of Singapore is a veteran entertainer /singer who ventured into Pole dancing when she was trying to add skills and values to her performances. In her pursuit, she discovered and fell in love with the fitness elements of pole and decided to take it up full time as a fitness regime.
In 2009 she decided to set up Acro Polates Pole Fitness Studio which made her one of the pioneers in Singapore to champion pole as an effective and fun fitness program mainly for the ladies who shun the mainstream gyms. Besides constantly upgrading herself by attending pole master classes, she and her team of instructors are all registered and certified with IPDFA. Acro Polates besides providing pole and aerial fitness is also Singapore’s premier provider of pole and aerial acts in events and gala dinners.
Ming is also the sole organiser of the IDPFA –affiliated pole championship in Singapore, SG POLE CHALLENGE between 2011 to 2016, where the overall winner is awarded a granted entry to the semi-finals of the IPC.
Her exposures and experiences provide her with the “eye” to be a discerning judge in pole competitions, balancing pole techniques with the “showman” aspects. She is thankful for having been involved with several competitions thus far in the Asia Pacific region such Miss Pole Korea, Hong Kong and China Pole Championship, Malaysia PoleStar and China International Pole Dance Competition. In 2014, Ming was invited to be part of the judging panel of IPC when it was held in Singapore (30 November ). And in 2017, she flew to Los Angeles to judge the Pacific Pole Championships- Los Angeles organised by PSO (Pole Sports Organization ) and is asked to be a returning judge this year.
